I’m inspired by wild foliage, cultivated gardens, everyday whimsy, deliberate joy, still lifes, fresh colour palettes, asymmetrical balance, and every banksia type there is.

I’m an artist who creates colourful, expressive paintings based on my observations of nature and daily life. Since 2021 I’ve been based in beautiful Southern lutruwita/ Tasmania, making work from my studio overlooking the sailboats and seabirds of a quiet little bay.

I feel that art is a way of telling our stories – the feelings we treasure, memories that make us glow, or our daydreams of the life we want to lead. For me creating is a way of celebrating the whatever parts of living make us feel connected to the peaceful, steady, contented, hopeful. For this reason my work wanders between the simple cheer of garden flowers in a vase, to the breath-it-in wonder of a wild eucalyptus forest.

I’m inspired by wild foliage, cultivated gardens, everyday whimsy, deliberate joy, still lifes, fresh colour palettes, asymmetrical balance, and every banksia type there is. I work often on paper, layering watercolour, gouache and pencils, or on beautiful ply board in oil paint and pastel.

Paintings are a special way to add to your own story, or make a special moment in the life of a loved one, a way to speak to ourselves and the experiences we collect.

I hope in my work you find something that speaks to you.
